Empowerment in Action: The Inspiring Work of Ritika

My name is Ritika, I am a speaker, creator, founder and a Human Capital consultant at Deloitte. I am involved in the space of empowering international students through my organization called Re-Defined and have been able to empower over 30,000 students across 4 countries by providing them with access to education, necessary resources and opportunities. This also enabled us to build a community of 50K+ immigrants across Canada I am also a 2XTEDx speaker, having spoken at 25+ events, a LinkedIn Top Voice (part of 0.0003% of people) with a following of 50K+ and also an Advisor and Board of Director for UN affiliated organizations such as Girl Up and Teenvisor, dedicated to empowering youth in India and am affiliated with Youthopia and League of Innovators as well as an ambassador and advsior For this work

Building a Community: Our Growth Timeline

our organisation have been able to impact around 20,000 people in the last 1.5 years across 4 countries: India (Pune, Mumbai, Delhi & Karnataka), Canada (Vancouver Halifax & Toronto), and Uganda and Ghana.

We have also conducted 25+ events in the last 6 months for more than 1000 students in Canada and India to further building of skills and confidence among the youth and thus, empowering them to become write-off their own story and get the access to role models that guide them to do so.

We aim to empower international students by providing the tools and resources
needed for personal and professional success.

Pre-departure programme

This program supports social impact entrepreneurs who are unsure about pursuing social impact and entrepreneurship. Over 1-2 months, participants receive coaching and 1:1 guidance to bring their ideas to life with the help of mentors, teams, and resources.

internship programme

This program focuses on the challenge of NON-CANADIAN experiences faced by immigrants and newcomers. Over 2 months, students gain relevant experience in their desired industry through 1-2 week projects, with deliverable submissions and presentations. We offer 5 internships in Business Development, Consulting, Social Media Strategy, Graphic Designing, and Program Management.

Newcomers Collision

Connects current and incoming students with mentors for 2 months to help build networks even before arriving in Canada. Also available for current students, connecting them with full-time professionals in their fields.
